Our new virtual display offering removes that barrier, with 1:1 scale critical for customers to get a complete sense of the size and layout of each room to help inform their buying decision.
Jamie Montgomery Managing Director.

Montgomery Homes is a leading home builder based in New South Wales, Australia. Founded in 1981, the company has been providing high-quality, custom-built homes for over 40 years. Montgomery Homes prides itself on delivering exceptional customer service and innovative designs that cater to the unique needs and lifestyles of each client. They are dedicated to making the home building process as easy and stress-free as possible by working closely with the client to ensure their vision is brought to life.

Their challenge

Montgomery Homes, like many other volume home builders in Australia, offers an extensive selection of home designs for customers to choose from. However, showcasing these designs can be a challenge due to the high cost of building and maintaining physical display homes.

“Montgomery Homes has over 250 designs available. But with only 28 homes physically on display, it can be difficult for customers to visualise their potential new home.” – Jamie Montgomery, Managing Director Montgomery Homes.

The challenge was how to display more of their catalogue to customers to give them more certainty and confidence in their buying decision.

Our solution

To overcome building physical display homes, EnvisionVR proposed creating Virtual Homes of 11 designs from Montgomery Homes new range which would enable customers to walk through and explore in 1:1 scale just like a real display home. The key advantage to Virtual Homes is the ability to access the designs from any location, rather than having customers travel to a single display home location.

“At a realistic 1:1 scale of the property, potential viewers can experience every area of the house, giving an authentic understanding of the size, space, scale, light, connection and flow of each room. They can literally walk around the home and count steps for how large each room is, allowing them to understand the full proportion and immerse themselves into their future home as it will be built.” – Montgomery Homes

The immersive experience of virtual reality headsets was important to Montgomery Homes. To make this practical, 5 garages in their display locations were transformed into VR viewing studios. Potential customers book a session with a sales agent to be guided through one of the 11 stunning designs.

“Our new virtual display offering removes that barrier, with 1:1 scale critical for customers to get a complete sense of the size and layout of each room to help inform their buying decision.” – Jamie Montgomery Managing Director.

Summary

With their 11 Virtual Homes, Montgomery Homes now has a solution to showcase their designs without needing to build additional display homes. The flexibility of Virtual Homes will also allow Montgomery Homes to update styling or add additional colour schemes to the experiences as well as accessing them via mobile, VR headsets and the web. Customers can now have more confidence in their buying decision without visiting a physical display home.
